“What I wanted to achieve with coaching was weight loss. I think the biggest obstacle that I struggled with was trying to figure out a way to maximize my time at the gym. Austin is very knowledgeable and taught me how to properly activate certain muscle groups and really get the most out of every exercise and rep. Anytime Austin and I have a session together it was more than me just doing the workout he had planned. He educates me on why we are doing an exercise in a certain and what that does for my muscles. He demonstrates and makes me feel like every set is doable and effective, and reminds me that I’m stronger than I think I am. Prior to working with Austin, I had gotten to the point in my fitness journey where simply going to the gym and lifting was no longer producing results. So what did I do? I double down on lifting and cardio. In spite of putting in more effort, I was not seeing any results. This led to a cycle of changing up my programs frequently, binge eating, and getting burned out. After quite some time of doing this I gave up. Then I saw Austin’s videos on TikTok breaking down how fitness trends were not efficient for growth or were flat-out untrue. The more I watched, the more I realized how knowledgeable and passionate Austin is about everyone learning to improve themselves. “I took a couple sessions from Austin while my trainer was on leave. With my other trainer I was focused on powerlifting, so switching to Austin to learn about hypertrophy was fascinating. He focuses on utilizing and training your body in the way it was meant to move. I found his approach refreshing, logical and simple to understand. I highly recommend learning from Austin or at least taking a couple sessions from him because it will change your perspective on working out. One of the greatest things I learned was that you do not need to do 4-6 sets of 8-12 reps, just do 1-2 sets of as many reps as you can. This way you are not focused on just hitting a number, you are listening to your body and let me tell you… it will let you know when it has had enough! Austin is an incredibly knowledgeable coach and overall an awesome guy to work out with.”

“When I started working with Austin I could barely walk up or down one step, let alone climb a set of stairs without assistance.  A severe knee injury had sidelined me, and I had hit a brick wall working out on my own. With his help I progressed rather rapidly, he targeted specific muscle groups, added in functional exercises, and kept me motivated during very difficult sessions.  I can’t thank him enough for the help, his knowledge of complex movements that would help me get back on my feet (literally) were instrumental in helping me recover a lot of functionality and movement in my knee. Working with Austin was one of the best decisions I made this year. I had found myself in a slump and I wanted some external accountability to break the cycle. I got that from Austin and much more. From the start, he helped me to focus my goals and built a program tailored to achieving them sustainably through both diet and weight training. I wanted to build strength while losing fat and having worked with Austin just a few months I’m down 12 pounds and continue to make progress lifting. I feel better than I have in several years. This is no small feat for me as a 36-year-old with a demanding job – I’ve started and stopped the process of consistent exercise throughout my life and this is the first time I’ve stuck with it and have seen significant results. Ok so you know the guy in High School in gym class who helped everyone climb the rope albeit quietly?  Yeah?  Well that’s Austin.  I have worked with many trainers before but Austin challenged me in innovative ways.  He was always looking for the most efficient way to go from A to B.  I wasn’t always a willing participant but he kept me on track.  While other trainers had trouble navigating my spinal challenges, Austin made short shift of them.  I never felt unsafe.  A sharp, critical mind with a wide knowledge base, Austin can be a task master but he’s always fair. I highly recommend him.
